BHT Technique
How to use other parts of the body for hair transplantation.
The BHT (Body Hair Transplant) technique involves the extraction of follicular units from various areas of the body, beyond the scalp, using the FUE method.
It is a technique used in exceptional cases, selected only after a thorough medical evaluation. It allows for the harvesting of follicular units from other regions of the body when the donor area on the scalp is insufficient to meet the desired result defined by the patient and the medical team.
The beard, chest, and abdomen are the most commonly used regions, always considering numerous factors such as the quality, texture, density, and growth rate of the available follicular units.
Thus, the BHT technique offers a solution for cases in which the scalp donor area is limited. However, it is only performed after a detailed assessment of the candidate’s suitability for hair transplantation.
